What would it look like?

Where can you picture yourself wearing it?

When Would you wear it, the majority of the time or just on special occasions?

Would it be a ring, a necklace or maybe a bracelet?

What metal would it be made from? What colour or type of stones would be set in it if any?

Now that you have created it in your imagination,

would your unique piece of jewellery celebrate a

birthday or an anniversary of a loved one

or be for yourself just to celebrate being you and

the joy of being alive?

Every client has their own individual style which they want to reflect in the jewellery which they wear.

Don’t worry if you do not have a clear vision of what you want, that’s my job. We can work together and I will use my imagination and technical expertise to develope the design that I am going and bring to life for you.

Above a ring made in beautifully rich coloured 18ct yellow gold. The ring is set with a stunning cushion cut yellow Beryl stone with a little row of diamonds around the setting. Commissioned by a woman who fell in love with the yellow Beryl which was among several Beryl’s which viewed at the beginning of the design process.

I feel that I am quite intuitive when it comes to the design process, which helps me create an exclusive design that is perfect for you

To arrive at the right design for your commissioned piece we will meet for an initial consultation, preferably we can meet in person but it is also possible to carry this out by phone or via Facetime, etc. This is relaxed and informal, as above all the commissioning of a piece of jewellery should be enjoyable.

As a designer, I feel that it is vital to work closely with my clients in order to gain a clear idea of their personal styles so that I understand what their requirements are.

I feel that I am quite intuitive when it comes to the design process in terms of understanding what you want, this helps me in developing the right design for you so that the finished piece will aesthetically work for you and live up to your expectations.

Once we have decided on the basic parameters of the design I will start by hand sketching initial rough ideas. Then later in my studio, I will develop these initial ideas by drawing a number of finished designs for you to choose from or to discuss any further developments needed.

I will give you any technical information which may help you in your choices of materials and give you confidence in the quality of the finished piece of jewellery. I can also source gemstones including beautiful diamonds and also an array of more unusual individual gemstones all of which are available for you to view and choose the perfect one for you to bring your design to life.

Once we arrive at the final design, I start making your exclusive piece of jewellery in my workshop. My aim is to create for you a unique piece of jewellery made to an excellent standard of finish that will be loved by you so much so that it becomes a future heirloom.
